International Spy Museum
========================

The International Spy Museum is the Washington museum of espionage. John Kiriakou has an ongoing relationship with it, he mentions having gone two weeks earlier to give a family a tour.

The torture room

His objection concerns a small room dedicated to the CIA torture program. It runs a loop of videos, and Kiriakou's complaint is about whose voices are in it: "the only people that they're looping are the torturers. And I'm never mentioned in that in that video. Only the pro-torture people uh are giving their side of the story. It's it's sickening."

He raises it while answering a question about which of his former colleagues were complicit rather than merely silent, and it functions in his account as evidence of the same pattern: that the officers who ran the program have kept the ability to narrate it, several of them having written books arguing that torture was a good idea and that it saved lives.
