Trita Parsi
===========

Trita Parsi, rendered as "Tita Parsi" in the source-corpus auto-captions, is an Iran scholar, described by John Kiriakou as "one of the greatest Iran scholars on the planet." On August 10, 2025, Parsi published a piece in Foreign Affairs predicting a renewed Israeli,Iranian war by the end of that month, a prediction that was, in Kiriakou's account, "laid out in very logical fashion." The prediction is referenced by Kiriakou in support of his broader argument that the United States cannot serve as honest broker in Israeli,Iranian affairs after the conclusion of the 12-Day War.

Among the analysts Kiriakou defers to

Asked in October 2025 whether Israel would attack Iran again, Kiriakou answered by naming whose judgment he was relying on rather than his own: "the conventional wisdom, and I think this is probably correct, I'm sorry to say, if you listen to Trita Parsi or Max Blumenthal or Larry Johnson or any number of people who know these things, I would expect Israel to attack again."

'I would have to put money on it'

In late August 2025 Kiriakou described a Parsi piece published two and a half weeks earlier predicting a renewed Israeli attack on Iran before the end of the month, and called him "one of the foremost thinkers on this issue out there in the Western world."

His deference was explicit, and so was his bookkeeping on the prediction: "if he says there's going to be a war, I would have to put money on the fact that there is going to be a war. But here we are on the 29th and it hasn't happened yet, not to say it can't, not to say that it's not going to be the first week of September or the first week of October."
