*Former New York Police Department Commissioner; the person who, in 2018, introduced John Kiriakou to Rudy Giuliani for what became Giuliani's $2 million pardon-extortion attempt.*

- **Former position:** New York Police Department Commissioner
- **Role in Kiriakou's account:** Made the 2018 introduction between Kiriakou and Rudy Giuliani

**Bernard "Bernie" Kerik** is a former New York Police Department Commissioner. In [John Kiriakou](https://www.kiripedia.org/wiki/john-kiriakou)'s account, Kerik had emailed him not long after his release from prison to propose a joint college-campus speaking tour, an idea Kiriakou welcomed but which never came to anything. [1]

Kiriakou says that in 2018, when he decided to seek a pardon from Trump, he emailed Kerik knowing Kerik was still in touch with [Rudy Giuliani](https://www.kiripedia.org/wiki/rudy-giuliani), and Kerik connected him to Giuliani's associate, an introduction that culminated in Giuliani's $2 million pardon-extortion attempt at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C.
