# Carter Page

**Carter Page** was an adviser to the 2016 Trump campaign who became the subject of [FISA court](https://www.kiripedia.org/wiki/fisa-court) surveillance warrants. [John Kiriakou](https://www.kiripedia.org/wiki/john-kiriakou)'s account of how those warrants were obtained is blunt: *"We know they lied multiple times to the FISA court to get warrants against Carter Page."* He names [James Comey](https://www.kiripedia.org/wiki/james-comey), then director of the [FBI](https://www.kiripedia.org/wiki/fbi), among those responsible.[1]
