- **Shows he watches:** South Park; Family Guy; The Simpsons; Bob''s Burgers
- **His verdict:** 'I love all the animated shows'
- **Most cutting edge:** South Park, 'by far'
- **Episodes he bought outright:** The Mormons episode; the lice episode
- **On the Trump episode of July 2025:** DVR''d it; 'it was freaking hilarious'
- **Favourite work by the creators:** Team America: World Police, seen 'more times than I could count'

**Kiriakou on animated television** records what [John Kiriakou](https://www.kiripedia.org/wiki/john-kiriakou) says he watches, volunteered in July 2025 when a viewer paid to ask what he made of South Park's treatment of [Donald Trump](https://www.kiripedia.org/wiki/donald-trump).

He had recorded the episode and watched it: *"I DVR it. It was freaking hilarious."* He declined to spoil it and noted in passing that the show's creators had signed a $1.5bn streaming agreement days earlier — *"God bless them."*[1]

The admission widened from there. *"I still watch South Park. I will admit to you, I watch Family Guy, Simpsons, South Park, and Bob's Burgers. I love all the animated shows."*[1][2]

Among them he ranks South Park first, and on a specific ground. Watching Family Guy with a housemate he finds himself asking how they get away with a joke; with South Park *"it's shocking to me that they're able to do what they're doing."* He treats it as comedy rather than provocation — *"it's all for a good laugh"* — and thinks it *"great."*[2]

Two episodes he thought worth owning rather than streaming: the Mormons episode and the lice episode, both bought years earlier, and the second of which *"I still laugh out loud every time I watch it."*[3]

His favourite work by the same creators is not television at all. *"The thing that those two guys did that I love the best is still Team America: World Police. I can never get over how — I've seen it more times than I could count. It's one of the funniest I've seen in my life."*[4]
