Per John Kiriakou, the federal prison where he was incarcerated had a sweat lodge built for Native American inmates’ religious services, but it was ultimately taken down after inmates began using it for sex instead of ceremony.[1] Asked separately whether he had ever been in a sweat lodge himself, apart from that prison experience, Kiriakou said no.[2]
