The deployments listed to him were Spanish, Italian and Dutch frigates; the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle with a frigate escort and anti-missile and anti-drone systems; two Greek frigates together with four F-16s and a Hellenic Air Force C-130; and the British HMS Dragon.[1][2] Alongside them came what the interviewer called the most high-level visits the island had seen in living memory, compressed into days: the Greek defence minister with the Greek army’s senior officers, the British defence minister, the chief of MI6 at the presidential palace, and then Emmanuel Macron and the Greek prime minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis together.[3][4]
