The Sociopath Next Door

The Sociopath Next Door is a book Kiriakou has cited for the claim that 85% of people incarcerated at any level of the carceral system, whether federal, state, or local, have a diagnosable mental illness. ^[1] He raised the book while discussing how prison is its own form of trauma and how that shared trauma builds bonds between inmates, drawing on his own experience of incarceration. ^[1]
