Alex Karp is the co-founder and CEO of Palantir Technologies, the U.S. data-analytics and intelligence-software company that received its initial seed funding from the Central Intelligence Agency’s In-Q-Tel venture-capital arm and that derives the majority of its contemporary revenue from agency contracts.[1]
Kiriakou’s biographical mockup
John Kiriakou was at one point hired by “an interest group” — the client is not identified — to produce biographical assessments of both Karp and Palantir co-founder Peter Thiel. His characterization of both men:
They’re exactly the kind of guys that the CIA would want to be doing business with. They’re conservatives. They are religious. They are extremely patriotic but driven by profit. And they’ll do as they’re told and they’ll keep their mouth shut.[1]
Karp specifically is “militarily-industrially conservative, but he’s technically a Democrat — I think he never switched his party affiliation.”[1]
